Have a lovely Performance ! 開演です!素敵なパフォーマンスを! こんにちは!Mariです。 Hi guys, it's Mari. ようやくPerforming Japaneseを始める事ができました! いや、本当は2011年に始まったので、細かく言うと6年が経っています。 Finally It's starting Performing Japanese! Well, it had actually began in 2011 so it's technically six years now. Aboutにプロフィールは記載していますが、ここでも簡単に自己紹介をさせてください。 Detailed my profile is on the About Page, let me briefly introduce myself here as well. 2009年にニューヨークに引っ越してきて、演劇学校に入りました。そこに3年間通い、第二言語である英語で演劇を学ぶ日々を過ごしました。 I moved to NYC in 2009 and entered an acting school, studied there for three years. Spending days with studying acting in, my second language, English. それはそれは、とてもチャレンジでエキサイティングな日々でした。 It was indeed challenging and exciting days. でも、やはり第二言語で演劇を学ぶ事は容易ではありません。 However, needless to say, it was not easy to learn acting in a foreign language. 英語と日本語は、文法も違えば、発音、イントネーション、使う文字、そして発話の仕方も違います。 English and Japanese have so much differences, such as grammar, pronunciation, intonations, letters and articulation... クラス中に何度となく先生に「何を言っているか分からない!」と叱られ、台詞を止められたことか。。。。(遠い目) Countless times to be stopped and said "I don't understand what you are saying!" by teachers in the middle of presentations. 演劇学校だったからこそ、当たり前ですが、求められる英語力は高く、 「通じるだけではなく伝わる英語」の必要性を痛感する日々でした。 Because of the acting school, of course high skill of English was demanded. "I need English skill, that is not only enough to make myself understand, but to be able to deliver messages of characters." This was something I had been thinking about and required to work on. 台本を読む時も、ただ英語の文面を理解するだけでは足りない。 その人物の温度、テンション、生活レベル、文化背景を理解しないといけない。 When it comes to read scripts, it is not enough to understand the language. It must to understand the characters backgrounds, temperature, level of lives...and more だから、こそ例え簡単な英語でも、辞書を何度もくくり、意味を再確認。 和訳だけでは足りない時は、一度熊本弁(私の出身地)に直してみて納得するまで文をよみ込みました。 That is why I even looked up simplest words (like love) to reconfirm the meaning. When translating into Japanese was not enough, I also translated into my local dialect, Kumamoto. これこそが、外国語を理解し、「自分の言葉」として発するのに必要なプロセスなのです。 This is exactly the way to understand, appreciate the foreign language, in order to make it "my own language". 「自分の言葉」と言うのは、文法が、発音が完璧という意味ではありません。 "my own language" does not mean that the grammar or pronunciation are perfect. 「自分が表現したい感情、伝えたい情報を表現している言葉」という意味です。 That means "Language that represents what you want to express and information you want to deliver". これこそがパフォーマンスする言語の元になった私の経験であり、皆さんに習得して欲しい事です。 This is the principal for Performing Language(Japanese) that what I have been experiencing my own as well, and what I would like YOU to learn. なので、このブログではちょっとした日本語のご紹介、 メルマガレッスンでは、さらに深い深い日本語や文化などをレッスンしていきます。 So, I will be introducing easy Japanese on this blog, and teach more deepen Japanese language and its culture on the E-mail Lesson. リクエストなどあれば、お気軽にコンタクトよりお送りください。 If you have any requests for topics or lessons, feel free to contact me. . |
